Allen came into our business and in 2 days accurately assessed the deadly issues in the company and myself that needed immediate attention in order for the company to survive, and as a good friend showed me how to change the way I operated the company. He taught me to tap into my management skills and work on the business instead of in the business. I already feel more confident knowing I can plan ahead and lead the company instead of looking back at the end of a month and wish I could change what transpired.

Where do I begin – do I start 29 years back when I started my company or do I fast forward to my new company and new me. As you said Allen, and this will stay with me for a long time, “if you allow this to fail what are you going to do, – you have no option – your business is all you have, who will give you a job if you allow it to fail". That was the catalyst for me to start focusing on the business of the business and the proposals you made. The rest is history and looking back I cannot believe I knew so much about construction but actually knew so little about business.
